Meredith Childs is currently the Director of Strategic Initiatives with Behavioral Health Network of Greater St. Louis. As a region-wide subject matter expert on addressing social determinants of health (SDOH), her previous role as an SDOH Program Manager in managed care at Healthy Blue MO (Elevance Health/ Anthem) allowed her to emphasize her passion for health equity. Ongoing goals focus on successful strategic creation of interventional programming such as previous implementation of housing, education, workforce development, and healthy food access program and project development throughout the region. Many of these innovative, intervention programs such as respite housing, SDOH call center, landlord engagement, housing/education flex funds can be engaged throughout certain regions as well as all 114 counties of Missouri. Meredith also served as the Director of Social Services with Fathers and Families Support Center of St. Louis and a Family Outreach Worker at the YWCA Head Start/Early Head Start program of metro St. Louis. Meredith has 20+ years professional and volunteer experience in the non-profit and health care sectors combined and is a graduate of Walden University holding a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Columbia College. She is a current/active member of the St. Louis City Continuum of Care and community representative for the YWCA Head Start Policy Council.
