With over twenty-five years of experience in education, Dr. Boone brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, promoting cultural awareness and equity across the institution.

Dr. Boone’s academic journey is a testament to her commitment to education and diversity. She earned her Ph.D. in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, focusing her research on the impact of social-emotional competence on academic achievement and career success within urban school systems. Her master’s degree in adult and higher education from the same institution and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Benedict College further enriches her professional profile.

Throughout her career, Dr. Boone has been a passionate advocate for underrepresented groups, tirelessly developing innovative programs and initiatives that support the academic and personal growth of all students. Her pioneering approach includes implementing cultural competency training, mentorship programs, diversity workshops, etc., significantly enhancing the campus climate and contributing to a more inclusive community.

Under Dr. Boone’s leadership, the Office of Multicultural Services has launched several key initiatives, including a comprehensive support network for first-generation college students.
